Sidecar for Thinkific is a browser extension that adds one-click data export to the Thinkific admin (Manage → Users). It is built privacy-first: it runs entirely in your browser, and your data never leaves your device.

What the extension accesses

Current-view export (free CSV, plus Pro JSON / Excel / PDF / Insights). When you click one of these, Sidecar reads only the Users table on the Thinkific page (*.thinkific.com) you are currently viewing, and saves it as a file to your computer.
Full export (Pro), only when you click it. When you click Full export, Sidecar pages through your Users list in your logged-in admin session and reads each page of the on-screen table, to assemble every student across every page. It drives the same pagination you would click yourself. This runs only on that click, is processed entirely in your browser, and the result is saved directly to your computer.

What leaves your device

Nothing. All exports are generated locally and downloaded through your browser. Sidecar has no analytics, no tracking, and no server of its own. It makes no network requests of its own at all; it only reads the pages your Thinkific session already loads.

Settings

Your preferences (enabled state, toolbar visibility) are stored using Chrome's storage.sync so they follow your Chrome profile. They contain no personal data from Thinkific.

Payments

The optional Pro upgrade is handled by ExtensionPay, with payment processing by Stripe. Sidecar never sees or stores your payment details. Please refer to ExtensionPay's and Stripe's privacy policies for how they handle payment data.

No background activity

Sidecar only acts when you click one of its buttons. It does not run in the background, does not crawl your account on its own, and only operates on *.thinkific.com.
